As per Wikipedia…
Calligraphy is a visual art related to writing. It is the design and execution of lettering with a broad tip instrument, brush, among other writing instruments. A contemporary calligraphic practice can be defined as, “the art of giving form to signs in an expressive, harmonious, and skillful manner”.
And as for me, Calligraphy is an artistic way of expressing yourself through writing with a pen or brush in your most decorative handwriting or lettering. Which is fun! I mean, tbh, I’m a frustrated artsy girl. I don’t trust myself on how I draw/sketch, matching colors or doing something artistic DIY things. Lol. But hey, don’t judge me. I’m very willing to learn! Haha!
So as a reward for stressing myself out at work and saving my heart from frustration in calligraphy, Lois bought me this Calligraphy set a couple of weeks ago! Ahhh… I couldn’t contain my happiness when I got it. This set is available in National Bookstore (saw them in Abreeza NBS and Gaisano Mall NBS).
So, what’s inside this Calligraphy set?
*Exercise & Practice Pad
*12 Ink Cartridges, kneadable eraser, draughting pencil and calligraphic pen
And here are some of my works. Chos! 😅✌️
I need to practice more though. Hehe. And of course, more knowledge about calligraphy and how to be more artistic while doing it. That’s why I joined (thanks to my sponsor – Lois, again. 😂✌️😘) the Calligraphy workshop! Yepeey! 🙌
The registration fee is 1,200 pesos (Lunch + materials will be provided). They also have a second batch which will be on the following day, December 18, 2016, Sunday. Same perks and benefits will be granted. Also, @allthingsnihon will be selling calligraphy goodies, so prepare your wallet! 😉
I joined the schedule for second batch, by the way. So hope to see you guys there and let’s have fun while learning! 😉😊
